Disabled Voices CIC exists because this is not good enough.
Built from lived experience and grounded in evidence
Disabled Voices CIC provides accessible, early intervention for disabled people across the UK. Through free, confidential emotional support with trained disabled volunteers, we create spaces where every voice is heard, valued, and supported.
Sometimes our symptoms can feel all-consuming. Pain, fatigue, isolation, stigma, and inaccessible environments can make the world feel smaller and lonelier. Disabled Voices CIC exists to remind you that you do not have to navigate this alone.
By phone
Our confidential telephone support service offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space where disabled people can talk openly about what they are experiencing. Using a person-centred approach, we listen with empathy, dignity, and respect, ensuring every caller feels heard, believed, and valued.
By Web Chat
We know that phone calls are not accessible to everyone. Our web chat service provides a text-based alternative for people who are Deaf, hearing impaired, experience speech difficulties, anxiety, fatigue, or simply prefer to communicate through writing. Support remains confidential, accessible, and person-centred.
By Community
Disability can be incredibly isolating, especially for those who are housebound, bedbound, or excluded by inaccessible spaces. Our online community aims to bring people together through connection, shared understanding, and mutual support. A place where disabled people can belong, build friendships, and know they are not alone.
Our Three Pillars
Listen
Free, confidential emotional support where every disabled person is heard without judgement, explanation, or justification.
Connect
Accessible community spaces where disabled people find belonging, shared understanding, and meaningful connection.
Challenge
Challenging the ableism and systemic barriers that silence disabled voices and impact wellbeing every single day.
Listening. Connecting. Challenging.
Our Pilot Program
Something meaningful is coming.
In October 2026, Disabled Voices CIC will launch a 12-month pilot programme, bringing free, accessible emotional support to disabled people across the UK for the very first time.
Our pilot unfolds in four stages:
Phase 1: Build
July – September 2026
Recruiting and training our volunteer listeners, building our systems, and preparing to launch safely and ethically.

Phase 2: Listen
October 2026 – September 2027
Delivering free, confidential emotional support by phone, web chat, and online community, where every disabled voice is heard.
Phase 3: Learn and Grow
October – December 2027
Evaluating what we achieved, measuring the difference we made, and planning for a sustainable future.

Phase 4: Illuminate
October – December 2027
Delivering training, education, and community workshops — because change doesn’t stop with one conversation.
Support Our Launch
Our pilot launches in October 2026. Every contribution helps us provide free emotional support to disabled people who need it most.
Be part of something that matters.
“I know what it feels like to become disabled and suddenly find yourself searching for somewhere that truly understands. That feeling of wanting to be heard without having to explain or justify yourself is exactly why Disabled Voices exists. Nobody should have to navigate this alone.”
